The Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) 2019 course is designed to prepare participants for effective use of Microsoft Office applications and successful completion of the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) 2019 international certification. The course enables participants to acquire professional-level skills in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint in accordance with Microsoft international standards.

Course Objective

To prepare participants for professional use of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint, enhance their digital literacy, and ensure successful completion of the Certiport Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) 2019 international certification.

Duration

The total course workload is 90–120 academic hours and includes training in the following programs:

  • Microsoft Word 2019 – 30–40 academic hours;
  • Microsoft Excel 2019 – 30–40 academic hours;
  • Microsoft PowerPoint 2019 – 30–40 academic hours.

The course is delivered online in English. The duration of the training depends on the selected schedule and course intensity.

Course Structure and Content

Module 1. Microsoft Word 2019

  • Word interface, navigation, and settings;
  • Creating and formatting documents;
  • Working with paragraphs, styles, and sections;
  • Tables, graphics, and SmartArt;
  • References, table of contents, and footnotes;
  • Collaboration and document review;
  • Project: Creating a multi-page report with graphics and references.

 

Module 2. Microsoft Excel 2019

  • Excel fundamentals, interface, and worksheet management;
  • Cells, ranges, and formatting;
  • Formulas and functions (SUM, IF, VLOOKUP, TEXTJOIN);
  • Tables and structured data;
  • Data visualization: charts, graphs, and conditional formatting;
  • Project: Creating a budget spreadsheet or analytical report.

Module 3. Microsoft PowerPoint 2019

  • PowerPoint interface and presentation management;
  • Creating slides, templates, and layouts;
  • Text, lists, and formatting;
  • Tables, charts, and SmartArt;
  • Media: audio, video, and 3D objects;
  • Animations and transitions;
  • Project: Preparing a scientific or educational presentation.

Module 4. Practical Training

  • Completing comprehensive practical assignments;
  • Solving real-world office tasks;
  • Hands-on practice with Microsoft Office applications;
  • Preparation for certification exam tasks.

Teaching Methods

  • Interactive video-based learning with demonstrations;
  • Hands-on training in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
  • Step-by-step instructions and practical projects;
  • Real-world office task simulations;
  • Practice using Certiport MOS 2019 exam simulations.

Assessment

Throughout the course, participant’s complete practical assignments, practice tests, and projects. Upon completion of the training, participants take the Certiport Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) 2019 international certification exam.

  • The certification exam is conducted offline;
  • Exam duration: 50 minutes;
  • A separate certification exam is required for each application (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint);
  • Upon successful completion, participants receive the internationally recognized Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certification, accepted by employers and educational institutions worldwide.
